Heavy Load
"Heavy transport in the rainforest. For the Sao Manoel hydroelectric power plant in the heart of Brazil, massive elements have to be delivered over a long and arduous route. The transformers weigh more than 200 tonnes each - the way to the destination, almost 4000 kilometres. Heat, dust and dirt roads that are completely dry and full of bumps. The journey becomes dangerous, sometimes it's a matter of centimetres. Then comes the river crossing - with more than 200 tonnes of cargo. The current is unhurried, but what the river swallows is lost. The transport takes seven weeks and delays cost money, breakdowns cost a lot of money - mistakes must not be made here."
