Save this Shark
"3x World Surf Champion turned wildlife conservationist Mick Fanning teams up with leading experts in new documentary SAVE THIS SHARK. Mick Fanning is on a new mission to explore shark conservation. The 3x world surfing champion will hop around the world teaming up with experts and conservationists to uncover the hidden truths about sharks, threats and how to save them from extinction. Mick will investigate the issue of sharks versus people and present problems as well as discover the latest technological solutions in how to keep both humans and sharks safe to coexist. Our host has had some incredible achievements throughout his professional career, but one moment stood out to the world live on television in 2015. A shark encounter at the J-Bay Open saw Mick Fanning become ‘the guy who punched a shark’. A huge part of saving sharks is convincing people that they need our help and putting aside the fear factor. In Save This Shark, Mick takes this incredible opportunity to go on his own personal journey and conquer his fear to learn about sharks. The documentary will feature the work of leading experts including Dr. Charlie Huveneers, Professor Colin Simpfendorfer, Dr. Neil Hammerschlag and renowned shark conservationist Cristina Zenato."

Climate Crisis
"Hurricanes are bad news. Not only do they bring high winds strong enough to do significant damage and threaten lives, but they bring storm surges which temporarily and locally raise sea levels and inundate low lying shorelines. What’s more, they dump rain. Lots of rain. Rain by the foot, by the meter. The intensity and devastation unleashed by hurricanes are becoming stronger worldwide, and climate change is a key contributor to making these disasters deadlier than ever before. Hurricanes are not just intensifying faster and dropping more rain because of global warming; their destructive power persists long after reaching land, increasing risks to communities farther inland that may be unprepared for devastating winds and flooding. Whatever they’re called, the same forces and conditions are at work in forming these giant storms, any of which can cause damage or devastation when they hit land where people live."

Man Eats Wild
"The Axis deer populations in Hawaii have reached plague proportions and they are in-fact invasive to this beautifully pristine archipelago of the pacific. Luckily for Mario these deer also happen to boast the best tasting venison that the wild can produce. He teams up with big wave surfer Shane Dorian who is also a huge advocate for harvesting food from the wild. The two go out and face some of the toughest conditions as the deer swarm the mountain tops of Hawaii in huge numbers making it almost impossible to approach. In the end its all worth it as Mario and Shane have some fun on the grill all whilst doing their part in helping to lessen the population of this invasive species."

The Most Dangerous Ways to School
"Torrential rain and more than 4000 meters above sea level are not the only challenges that nature has placed on the dangerous school route of the youngest inhabitants of the village Kumpur. The children of this tiny folk (tribe) in the mountains of the Nepal province Bagmati, must walk for over 2 hours through paths that are at times only 40 cm wide and drop over 500 meters into the deep. Also twice a day they have to cross the dangerous river Trishuli on their way to school with a ramshackle ropeway. It is a brutal march and they walk it every day just to obtain a tiny iota of education. Risky, spectacular and sometimes just simply beautiful.""
