The ride closes temporarily and renovation work begins. It is a gigantic task - 1500 metres of track have to be renewed. A complete replacement of all wooden rails has never been done on a comparable facility before. It is a renovation of superlatives for 12.5 million euros. The team is working with the heavy components at heights of up to 60 metres. Safety technology and its correct application are vital. The reopening date is approaching and the pressure is mounting."
